I took off on a frigid, gloomy, and snowy day, my plane soared across the early morning sky. I was looking forward to brilliant sunshine, palm trees, relaxing on a white sandy beach and of course, bikinis, lots, and lots of them. My firm sent me to a tropical paradise to fix an outdated computer for a small to medium-sized business, I’m hoping it’s not going to be all work.
After a two-and-a-half-hour trip, the pilot buttered the landing perfectly, once we started taxiing towards the terminal, the captain made his landing announcement. “Good morning, everyone, welcome to…. The local time here is 9:12 am and current temperature is 24°C under mainly cloudy skies. Thunderstorms are predicted for later this afternoon. Please remain in your seat with your seatbelts fastened until the aircraft has come to a full and complete stop and thank-you for flying….”
Within minutes of coming to a full stop, the 737’s big heavy doors were swung open on both sides of the aircraft by the flight attendants. You could hear the whine of the jet engines from the other planes as they moved about the airfield. The warm, humid tropical air immediately flooded the cabin. My hands were sweating as I walked down the jet steps to the ground, then across the wide-open apron in the warm, brilliant sunshine which had just broken through the ominous dark clouds. I walked to the terminal building and into the luggage claim. While waiting for the bags to appear I looked around the room. There was a large window facing one of the airport’s parking lots. A tall, slim, well-dressed young man in a beige suit and tie with an athletic build and tan caught my attention as he stood patiently holding up a sign across his chest with my name scribbled on it. After recovering my belongings and getting through customs, I went outside to speak with the young man.
“Hello there,” I hollered, as I struggled to be heard above the roar of a plane taking off. “I think you’re expecting me?”
“Howdy there, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Yes sir, I was told by my boss to come and pick you up from the airport.” the young man spoke with a broad grin and strong handshake, he couldn’t have been much more than 25 years old.
“My name’s Stephen,” he spoke as he pointed to his head and brushed a few strands of hair between his fingers. “They call me Rusty around here because of my hair color.”
Rusty and I strolled up to a little red sports car that was parked with the top down, and we spoke for a few moments before getting in and driving out of the airport parking lot. I must confess that being on the opposite side of the road seemed rather odd at first.
It had been a long time since I rode in or even drove a convertible for that matter. The ride reminded me of how much I missed my younger days driving around my small town, carefree, with the top-down and the wind blowing through my hair; trying to pick up chics. I must confess I didn’t get too many then, but that’s another story for another time. This trip would have been worth the trip for just this reason alone in my opinion.
My friendly new colleague Rusty and I parked in a parking spot at the front of a moderately sized structure. We entered the building, which was brilliantly lit and well air-conditioned. It was a nice respite from the hot, humid air outside. In the background, I could hear calypso-style music over a public address system. Rusty gave me a terrific tour of the business, during which I met several intriguing people. He took the time to explain everything about the facility. After a bit of walking around the place, we arrived at the EB12 computer’s primary terminal area.
The first thing that occurred to me as I stood there, staring at the old dinosaur, was that we could cram everything this ancient relic could hold onto a standard smartwatch today. What I wanted to know was, what was the purpose of repairing this outdated dinosaur?
As Rusty and I continued walking, we passed by a long wooden table. I saw a lovely forty-year-old plus woman sitting there with a stack of manuals for the old beast. She leaned her elbow on the table while holding a pen in her hand. Her finger was pressed against her temple, while she flipped through the pages with her other hand. Her beautiful, curly, silky, black hair hung slightly below her shoulders and had been exquisitely cared for. She had a nice attractive tan and was dressed conservatively well in a little white blouse with a thin navy-blue business jacket and matching skirt that reached just over her knees, showcasing her short, elegant legs that were crossed at the ankle. Aside from a small gold wristwatch around her tiny wrist, she wore earrings and a sparkling gold necklace. The pretty lady had on a nice pair of black-framed reading glasses that perfectly accessorized her black, polished high-heeled shoes.
She was, in my view, the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. I’m not going to lie; my heart was pumping. I swore I was going to marry this woman.
Rusty gave me a couple of taps on my upper arm as I stood staring in awe of her beauty. “Hey Denny, want a coffee?”
Once I zoned back in, I responded. “Yeah sure, I could use one after that flight. Hey, Rusty, who’s that beautiful creature sitting at the table over there, is she married?”
Rusty bonus veren siteler poured the coffee and handed me the cup, turned around, looked, and gave a curt nod with a forewarning tone. “Oh, no… she’s not married, and you want to keep your distance from her too. She’s from Los Angeles, her name is Anna, she’s worked here for years. Anna has an ice-cold personality if you try to pick her up. She’ll not only reject you if you ask her out, but she’ll also devour and spit you out. I started here two years ago, and there’s been a steady line of guys, even gals who have tried to ask her out. If you keep things professional, she’s fantastic. If I, were you, I wouldn’t even think about asking her out?”
But Rusty’s not me, and I’m a bit stubborn.
As we spoke, an attractive little, diminutive black lady in her early thirties with short, bleached blonde hair wearing a short, bold dress embroidered with large flowers stepped up, got a coffee, and joined us.
In her native creole, she asked pleasantly. “Hey, y’all what’s going on here?”
“Hey Emma, meet Denny, he’s the guy they sent to fix the computer.” Rusty offered. “He’s got the hots for the Ice Queen, Anna.”
“Oh, Honey, yer squandering your time with that one. She ain’t even going to give you the time of day. I know because I tried; I really did, I tell ya!” Emma asserted. “I was iced so hard that I suffered brain freeze for a week.”
“Wow, and you’re a very attractive lady.”
“Well thank you for the compliment, Honey… but… ohh Honey, if you want a lady,
I’ll introduce you to a few of the others around here at lunch, and you’d be banging your brains out tonight with a couple of them, I’m sure. But… don’t bother with that one.” Emma said with a dismissive wave and a nod.
For several minutes, the three of us continued with our conversation.
“If you want to take me up on my offer Hon, you can find me over here.” Emma pointed out. Then she gave me a quick kiss on the cheek. “Well, just in case ya ask her out and you get sent back to your snowbanks, Denny, it’s been lovely meeting ya.”
“Okay Sir, are you ready to meet the Ice Queen?” Rusty joked.
“Of course, let’s just get this over with. I still have to fix that thing. It’s not like I have a choice here.” With a dismal sigh, I closed my eyes, tilted my head back and stroked the back of my neck, then pulled myself from the wall, tossing my empty cup into the garbage as my dream abruptly dissipated.
Rusty and I made our way over to the table where Anna was seated. “Anna, this is Denny, the man they sent down to help you with the machine.” says Rusty.
Anna looked over her eyeglasses with a stiff brow, not even bothering to smile or welcome me. She had a smooth, expressive, yet controlled tone to her voice. “Mr. Stewart, have a seat. Rusty, will you please bring me the Thompson job files. I want to look at them while I eat lunch.”
“Yes, Ma’am.” Rusty responded promptly and then he took off.
“Mr. Stewart, here’s what I’ve come up with so far.” Anna went on to share her point of view on the situation.
I casually spoke up. “Uh, you can call me Denny.”
“I don’t believe I can.” Anna remarked cynically, lowering her head slightly while peering over her spectacles once again.
Anna was rather domineering and heartless towards me and I had no idea why.
“The machine is no longer tabulating data from the main board…” Anna’s voice trailed off.
Rusty and Emma weren’t kidding about her. She is one frigid fish. Okay, have it your way; I’ll be just as cold in return.
Anna continued rambling on about things that were not in the manual, it was quite evident she had no clue what the problem was. “All right, we need to pull this board out and have it repaired.
I shook my head vigorously and sneered. “Nooo…you don’t. It’s a software issue, not a hardware one. If that board was faulty, the machine would’ve shut itself down.”
With a heavy sigh and a few more choice words between us, the possibility of me asking her out was getting really remote.
She continued to assert her dominance and fired back. “What gives you any credibility on this thing? I’ve been working on it for seven years.”
“Two things, my boss sent me down to fix this thing, and I created and built this machine 20 years ago with my former business partner and friend Eddie.” I retaliated. “Why in the hell are you fighting me? I’m here to help you, not destroy you. Get real.”
“Well then, maybe I should call Eddie.”
“What?? Didn’t you hear what I just said? Aww hell, go ahead, call Eddie, but he’s not going to come.”
“Why wouldn’t he come?”
“Eddie’s been dead for ten years.”
Suddenly, Anna broke down and realized what she was doing, she ground to a standstill. Trembling slightly, she removed her reading glasses and let them drop to the table in front of her.
“Oooh,” Anna sighed deeply, then wiped the bridge of her nose. “Umm…listen,
Denny, I’m sorry… I’m sorry about your friend too. I’ve been working on this damn thing for over a week. I’m simply stressed, the boss is mad at me, everyone’s mad at me too. Denny, please accept my apologies. You have every right to be angry with me and leave. But could you please stay?”
I bedava bahis sat there grumbling, with great hesitation and possibly a bit of regret, I answered.
“Yeah, okay… I’ll stay. I better go get the manuals and my tools from Rusty’s car. Back in a bit.”
It wasn’t long before I tracked Rusty down, and the two of us went out to his car, he opened the trunk. “Did you ask her out?”
I snapped back at Rusty. “I wouldn’t ask that woman out on a bet!! She’s colder than Yellowknife in January. I just want to get my manuals, get my tools, get the damn thing fixed and get the hell out of there, away from that… that… THAT WOMAN!”
“Whoa, there Dad, you’re packing a mighty mean temper there.” Rusty spoke. “I think you should take a few deep breaths before you go back inside old timer. You don’t want to invite trouble.”
I smiled and joked. “Who the hell you calling old? I’m only fifty-one. That’s the trouble with you young punks, you think everyone over thirty belongs in the home.”
“Ahh…sorry! Look, I got to get back inside. Just take a couple deep breathes before you go back in there, Okay?” Rusty raised his eyebrows and chuckled. He gave me a couple of quick pats on my chest and took off inside.
I nodded and followed Rusty’s advice. I took a few minutes to clear my head. As I leaned against the car, I stared across the road. Off in the distance, were several birds gliding over an old, abandoned fishing boat that had been either beached or moored along the coast behind some big old palm trees and reeds. I felt more at peace after a few minutes.
I grabbed my manuals and other things from the car and returned to the table where Anna was seated.
“Umm… Denny,” Anna rose from her seat, walked around the table, and hugged me. “Please accept my heartfelt apologies, I’m really sorry.”
As I embraced Anna back, her body was soft to the touch, and her scent was tempting and sensual. “That’s fair. I, too, started off on the wrong foot. Sorry.”
Anna took off her glasses again and set them down on the table as she put her arms around me one more time. This time she surprised me with a respectable peck on the lips. That was the first indication we thought something good was happening. We stared each other in the eyes for a few seconds before parting ways and returning to our jobs.
The day had flown by quickly; it was a little after five o’clock and dark outside, everyone had gone home for the day. The building was vacant and peaceful. The lights inside the building were automatically dimmed for the evening. Rusty came to the table where Anna I were seated chatting about the computer, he glanced quickly at Anna, then me. “Denny, we’d best get going; you still need to check into your hotel. They won’t keep it for you.”
I looked at Anna, she smiled. “Go ahead Denny, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Are you sure you’re not leaving?” I queried.
“No, that report is still due tomorrow, Denny.” Anna answered with a short shrug of her shoulders. “It’s already two days late because of this thing. I’ll be OK… you two should go.”
Just as we approached the front door, Anna called out. “Thank you, Denny.”
I returned my gaze to her, smiled, nodded, and waved before heading out the door with Rusty.
He unlocked the door, then locked it again as we exited the building into the cool, invigorating, evening air. I grabbed my jacket from the backseat of Rusty’s car and threw it on before hopping in. He quickly glanced at me and asked curiously as we headed out the driveway. “What happened in there, by the way? You two seemed to be getting along well in there.”
“Well, Rusty, we made some mistakes and, well…, let’s just say, we moved on.”
“Did you ask her out?” Rusty asks.
“No…no… no… not yet!” I said as I entertained a few thoughts.
Rusty approached the front entrance of my hotel. I slid out of the vehicle and took my luggage from the back seat. As Rusty drove away, I threw him a short wave. I checked in then went directly to my sixth-floor room. Despite my best efforts, Anna remained firmly entrenched in my thoughts that evening. I couldn’t help thinking about her, in one moment, I was head over heels in love with her, and the next, I wanted to kill her. Two minutes later, I’m starting to feel for her, again. Am I going crazy or what?
After a short nap, I headed down to the dining room for dinner. I walked to the entrance of the hotel and called a cab to take me to Anna’s office. I rapped on the glass door a couple of times. Anna appeared at the door a minute or so later.
“What are you doing here, Denny?” she inquired as she opened the door, her face was a mixture of confusion and amusement.
“I thought you could use a little dinner and maybe some company.” I spoke cheerfully.
“Well… come on in, Oh, thank you.” Anna spoke sincerely as she gently took the bag of food from my hand. “I take it you’re not mad at me anymore?”
“No, Anna, I’m not mad at you. You’re fine. We simply got off to a bad start, that’s all.”
While Anna was enjoying her dinner, she began laughing as soon as we started joking about and getting to know each other. She had a gorgeous grin and dazzling white teeth. There was some hand-to-hand contact, including deneme bonus holding touches.
Anna confessed and spoke ruefully. “Denny, I’m having such a great time here with you, but I need to finish my report before the meeting tomorrow morning.”
“There’s no problem. You take care of that, and I’ll work on this thing.” I leaned back and placed my palm over her hand on the table, then directed my other thumb towards the old machine. We each worked for around two hours at our jobs. Anna finally came out of her office around eleven o’clock., looking tired as she hoisted her bag over her shoulder. She packed her glasses into a glass case, which she then stuffed into her purse. “Hey Denny, how are you making out?” she asked in a soft weak voice.
“It’s almost finished. It was up and running a few minutes ago. I’ll spend a couple more hours on it again in the morning. It should be fully operational by noon tomorrow.” I said while feeling a little tired myself. “How about you?”
“I just finished my report a few minutes ago, C’mon, I’ll take you back to your hotel, all right?”
“Well, that’s the best damn offer I’ve had all day.” I grinned while grabbing my jacket and wrapping it around my arm as we headed out the door.
We arrived at the hotel and said our goodbyes. I opened the car door and put one leg out. Anna asked, seemingly out of nowhere. “Aren’t you going to give your driver a good night kiss?”
“Really??… you mean I have to tip you?” I flirted as I turned my head towards her with a grin.
“Um…mm. Shut up and kiss me.” Anna nodded, then answered in a playful tone.
I cautiously brought my palm to her cheek and drew her closer to me. The kisses began with a respectful peck, and then they became longer and more intense. My heart was pounding like a sledgehammer. At long last, I used my tongue to separate her lips from mine and sat back in the seat catching my breath.
“Whew,” Anna exhaled, her face flushed. “Wow, Denny, that was very, really, umm… good.”
“Ohh…you weren’t too bad yourself.” I replied in a soft deep voice.
Anna glanced down at the steering wheel and with a bashful expression on her face took my hand in hers. “Thank you for staying, even after I was being a bitch to you Denny. It meant a lot to me today that you stayed.”
“It’s not a big deal.” I remarked as I stepped out of Anna’s car and shut the door.
After taking a few steps toward the front entrance of the hotel, I turned around and gave her a couple of waves. Anna waved back, put her car in gear then drove off. I stood there till I couldn’t see her taillights. I went inside the hotel to the souvenir shop, where I looked around at the goodies for some ten minutes before buying snacks and heading to the elevators.
I waited for what seemed like a lifetime for the elevator to get down to the main floor. Anna surprised me when she came up and stood next to me.
“What are you doing here, I thought you went home?” I inquired.
“I’m going up stairs with you.” Anna held her bag open with one hand and threw her car keys in with the other.
We entered the elevator and ascended to the room, where she put her well-worn grey purse on the dresser next to the television. Anna was so impatient to get out of her business attire after a hard day that she threw her navy-blue blazer on the empty bed. Then it was off with her jewelry and watch, which she threw on the dresser next to her purse. Anna almost ripped the buttons from her blouse as she took it off and tossed it on top of her jacket. Her nipples were conspicuously poking out the fabric of her white laced bra, leaving nothing to the imagination. With a flick of her hand, her skirt was gone, and her bottom was barely covered by the remainder of her attire.
“I’m going to the washroom,” Anna spoke, then immediately turned, and reached her arm behind her back to unfasten her bra clip as she headed to the washroom.
“I’ll be there in a few minutes; you just sit there and relax.”
The light was turned low, my back rested on the headboard as I waited for Anna to return. A minute or two later I heard the shower as I watched tv. I fell asleep after a hard day of travelling, repairing their computer, arguing with Anna, and patching things up.
Anna emerged from the bathroom a short time later drying her hair with a towel, with nothing wrapped over her small figure. She patted herself off, walked over to the bed, and was about to kiss me, only to find I was in a deep sleep. She threw her towel on the second bed, stepped to the foot of the bed I was on, and placed her hands around my ankles, bringing me down so my head could rest on a pillow. She slipped my shoes and socks off. While I was still in a deep slumber, she removed my shirt and ran her fingers lightly over my chest and my stomach. I was still in my dream state when she unbuckled my belt and unzipped my heavy winter pants which I hadn’t time to change. Slowly she pushed my pants and underwear off. While I snored away, Anna stood by the side of the bed, admiring my manhood. She wrapped her fingers around my limp cock and began to rub it. Suddenly she stopped and let go. She straightened up and looked at me as she pondered putting it in her mouth. Despite her strong desire to be intimate, she decided against it and with a dismissive wave of her hands, she shook her head, no. Suddenly, Anna realized she was utterly exhausted too after a long, hard day. It was now 12:30 a.m., and she needed her sleep too because she had a meeting the next morning.
